Author Visits

With plenty of previous childcare experience, and 3 little ones of my own, I absolutely love doing author events where I get to meet you all. I am always delighted to attend school and library visits.

I have to say, I much prefer to visit classrooms, opposed to assemblies. That way I can meet each and everyone of you in person (and it's a lot less daunting!).

For school visits, my books are aimed at Reception and KS1 children, so my sessions (lasting around 30 minutes) usually involve visiting individual classes, reading one of my books, doing a little Q&A and then finishing up with a book based activity.

I also offer a story writing session, lasting an hour, for Year 2's (and upwards).

For library visits, where the crowd is usually  younger, I like to do a reading and then, if there is the space and facilities, do a little book based arts and crafts session.

In general, I charge £20 per hour (including travel time to and from Tunbridge Wells and 40p per mile) with the opportunity to sell discounted, signed copies of my books. Please note, prices vary for certain dates, such as Children's Book Week.

“She read us 2 stories and we all wrote our own story using things from a bag and some cards. She gave us each a book with our names in. It was amazing and fantastic!”

"Children and support staff have shown such enthusiasm for your book and are now wanting to purchase further of their own copies - simply put everyone had an incredible time."
